Set 1 – 25:13
KVC B got off to a quick start with an 5 point lead. After calling a time out Frodsham fought back, almost tying the game.
But a hard fought rally won by Knutsford gave us the serve. Step up George Davies who really challenged them with his serving and led KVC to win 9 points in a row. There was no way back for Frodsham and KVC took the first set.
Set 2 – 25:12
Now comfortable with the play, KVC took an early lead which the opponents just couldn’t catch. KVB dominated the game putting pressure on them with great serving and hitting. Resulting in a comfortable win; set 2 in the bag.
Set 3 – 25:17
2-0 up and full of confidence KVC maintained their solid defence and attack game whilst trying a couple of quick tricks and back court hits. This was all too much for Frodsham’s defence and Knutsford Volleyball Club once again took victory and won their first ever game!
It was a great effort by the whole squad, controlling the game throughout and deservedly getting their first win of the season.
