With some players unavailable for the match we only had 5 players so KVB team youngster Olly and George were asked to step up. Sharing hitting duties they fitted straight into the team and built their confidence over the match. With only one setter we had to switch to a 5/1 system which, with a few mishaps, worked well.
The first two sets were both taken easily 25-15 KVC, feeling full of confidence tried out some riskier attack options in the third set which didn’t all pay off. Rebels fought back in the third eventually winning 25 – 23
But the overall result was never really in doubt, and Knutsford finished the job 25-18 in the fourth set.
